Portable AC DC Magnetic Yoke EMA-100A

The EMA-100A is a portable magnetic yoke for magnetic particle testing of ferromagnetic components and welds. It operates from a 230 V AC mains supply or an external AB-100A battery pack for DC magnetisation, supporting inspection in workshop and field conditions.

Operation

For use by qualified magnetic particle testing personnel in accordance with applicable certification requirements and the operating manual.

1. Inspect the yoke, cables and battery pack for damage. Adjust the poles to fit the inspection area.
2. For AC operation, connect the mains cable to the yoke and a 230 V, 50 Hz supply. For DC operation, connect and switch on the AB-100A battery pack.
3. Position both poles on the component and hold the START button to generate an AC or DC magnetic field, depending on the power source. Follow the applicable inspection procedure.
4. For demagnetisation, use AC mode: hold the START button and slowly withdraw the yoke.
5. After use, switch off and disconnect the power source, disconnect the cable and remove any residual magnetic particle suspension.

Observe the specified duty cycle and energisation limits. Do not leave the yoke connected to its power source when not in use. Refer to the operating manual for complete instructions.
