NPP ‘Mashproekt’ expands its range of equipment for magnetic powder inspection.
NPP "Mashproekt" has launched new electromagnets EMA-100 and EMA-200 for non-destructive testing equipment.
Portable electromagnets are used for magnetic particle testing of metal products according to GOST R 56512-2015 "Non-destructive testing. Magnetic particle method. Typical technological processes."
They are used in the aviation, automotive, railway, oil and gas, energy, and other industries. Examples of objects for inspection include: welds, machine and mechanism parts, construction steel structures, pipelines, boiler installations, and rolled metal products.
The devices detect surface and subsurface defects in the base material: cracks, hairline cracks, tears, flakes; weld defects.
Specialists at "Mashproekt" have designed and prepared for release the modern electromagnets EMA-100 and EMA-200.
Both models have the following advantages:
– A separate power cable connected via a sealed connector makes the operation and transportation of the devices easier.
– A robust dust and moisture-proof housing with an IP54 protection rating allows operation in harsh industrial or field conditions.
– An adjustable articulated yoke design ensures effective operation on parts of any configuration and orientation. The pole spacing ranges from 42 to 242 mm.
– The devices can be used for testing objects and welds by magnetizing the entire product or specific areas of it.
– The devices can also be used for demagnetizing objects with a decreasing alternating magnetic field by gradually moving away from the inspected surface.
Differences between the electromagnets
Model EMA-100 performs magnetization of the inspected area with an alternating current magnetic field. Dimensions: 229 x 243 x 61 mm. Weight: 3.5 kg.
Model EMA-200 operates in two modes: "Alternating Current" and "Direct Current". The direct current magnetic field allows for more thorough inspection of the product. A special switch on the end of the housing selects the operating mode. Dimensions: 229 x 275 x 61 mm. Weight: 3.8 kg.
The new devices from Mashproekt are a strong competitor to similar instruments.
It is important to note that 90% of the electromagnets are assembled from Russian-made components. Thus, we help address the issue of import substitution in Russian instrumentation.
